Personalised

Personalised includes

• Patterns or images are added while the piece is being made.
• It may include a design fee.
• Different metals or gems from a standard 'in stock' product.e.g. gold instead of silver, garnets instead of diamonds.

e.g. design fee + standard bangle + extra work = £XX includes VAT, Delivery within Europe.

When the design and price has been agreed, then 50% is payable then, and the balance on completion, before the product is sent out to you.

Design fee

• £25 "one-off non-refundable fee" whether you decide to have the product made or not.
  The fee is payable when you request a design & we have looked at the request and decided that it is feasible.
• If a piece is commissioned and will require significant designing a separate design fee may be required. (or do I just add this into making time ??).
• If you would like something made that will never be repeated then the design fee will be £25 per hour.

Commission

• The design fee at time of initial request for a commissioned piece.
• When the design and price has been agreed, then 50% is payable then, and the balance on completion, before the product is sent out to you.

Delivery

Postage, packing and delivery by recorded post within Europe are included in the advertised costs. We will have to make a charge for delivery outside Europe, and that charge will depend on the item and the country to which it is to be sent. You may also be charged an import tax.

Payment methods

Gemstones

The cost of a gem depends on it's

• colour
• weight
• size
• cut
• presence of impurities
• whether it has been 'treated' to improve its appearance
• if it is natural or synthetic.

These can be subjective and you may prefer the colour and cut of a stone that is less expensive or your piece may be better suited to a different quality stone.

Gold

As a rough guideline, the cost of gold per volume works out about 80x the cost of an equivalent piece in silver.

We do not keep a large volume of gold, and the price does vary on a daily basis. Therefore I will always confirm the price of an out of stock or personalised item that you would like to have in gold.

Gold or rhodium Plating

Usually £10.
May be more if the area to be plated is particularly large or if it is technically trickier to get the plate into specific areas.

If an article is sent back for replating, then the cost of registered delivery back to you (if necessary - feel free to pop in if you are local) would be added.

Oxidising

Usually £5
May be more if the area to be oxidised is particularly large or if it is technically trickier to get the plate into specific areas.

Patination or reverting to natural look of the metal after you have bought something.

Gold earring posts instead of silver

Clip on earrings

If you see a pair of clip on earrings on this website, the price will be listed with it and will of course not change.

However, if you see a pair of earrings for pierced ears and would like them converted to clip on earrings there will be an additional charge of £20. This is because the design will have to be altered to disguise the fittings, the fittings are more expensive and the piece will have to be heated, soldered and then cleaned up and repolished. It may not be possible to convert some earrings for this price (as it may involve having to remove stones) but I can advise you - starting from the beginning may be cheaper for you, and easier for me. (so we could both be happy)

Redoing a surface due to scratches.
