Wash in warm water with small amount of washing up liquid. The glass is borosilicate (like pyrex) so is strong, but I would recommend keeping it in its hard box when not worn as I doubt it would withstand a large weight e.g. books etc landing on it ! The silver is flexible in normal use, but excessive strain could snap it so wouldn't recommend fiddling with it or allowing a small child to pull it.
